What Is It?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is a psychological condition characterized by excessive, pervasive, and hard-to-control anxiety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is not just temporary stress or a \u201cworried personality.\u201d The anxiety occurs almost every day, for at least six months, and affects multiple areas of life (work, health, relationships\u2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People with GAD often describe a constant sense of alarm, as if something serious were about to happen \u2014 without any clear or objective reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">II. The Vicious Cycle of GAD<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In GAD, worry often starts with an anticipatory thought such as: \u201cWhat if things go wrong?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This triggers intense anxiety. The person then tries to cope by avoiding certain situations, seeking excessive control, or asking for reassurance. While these strategies bring temporary relief, they also prevent the person from facing their fears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>Result :<\/strong>&nbsp;Anxiety persists and intensifies. The cycle repeats: the more one avoids, the more the brain believes the danger is real \u2014 and the less capable the person feels of coping.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IV. There Are Solutions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The first-line treatment.
